In 2007, Puccini's most popular opera - La Bohème, with his ravishingly beautiful score and celebrated arias will be delighting Shrewsbury audiences as the award-winning Mid Wales Opera brilliantly portray the passions, laughter and tragedies of the young bohemians at Shrewsbury Music Hall on Monday 24th September.

Once again Mid Wales Opera has assembled a cast of lively young singers from the National Opera Companies for another of their original and heart-warming productions.  They will be accompanied by Mid-Wales Opera Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Keith Darlington, with the company directed by Martin Lloyd-Evans.  Well-known for its original and imaginative productions Mid Wales Opera will be taking a new look at this masterpiece with a youthful but experienced cast, all of whom will have performed solo roles with the National Opera Companies.  This performance is in association with Shrewsbury Music Hall.

Shropshire Music Trust Director, Kate Hogwood said, "This is a real treat for all who appreciate live theatre at its most exciting! Mid Wales Opera make a welcome return with a superbly exciting and highly-entertaining event for all the family with a familiar  opera which is held in special affection by audiences throughout the world.  There will also be a pre-performance talk by Dr Robert Meikle between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm.  There is one performance only - and tickets are nearly sold out so please book early!"
